Event designer, food creator, marketing consultant
It's fair to say I'm a bit of a mixed bag of skills, but if they were mapped in a Venn diagram they would interlink the three worlds of events, food & marketing.
I started my marketing journey first, working both client side and agency side, latterly as an account director for an integrated agency. This gave me a deep foundation in understanding a brief and pulling together conceptual design, strategy and tactics to create the perfect campaign.
Next came food. I took a break from London life to work in a French ski chalet, which allowed my love of food to blossom and a decision was made to incorporate food into my daily working life. I retrained at Leiths School of Food & Wine in 2009 and launched Ginger Jar Food later that year. Over the years Ginger Jar has grown from event caterer to conceptual food and event designer, working for brands such as Spotify, TikTok, Disney & H&M.
Events have always been present, from the large road shows I planned back in my agency days, through the private dinners and weddings Ginger Jar was founded on, to full immersive dining experiences I create as part of Flavourology (sister company to Gingerline). With Flavourology we have created experiences in the UK, Europe and Asia, either taking our resources with us or finding partners to work with locally.
While Ginger Jar and Flavourology still prosper, I now also work as a consultant in partnership with leading London events agencies to deliver a range of resources from participating in pitch creation to project management or producing events.
